How Pay Rates Work in the GigWorx Client Portal
How pay rates are set, how to adjust them, and when to use stipends.
Setting Up Pay Rates:
When your account is set up, you'll provide your account manager with your target pay range (for example, $20-$30 per hour). Then, the GigWorx team enters your approved pay range into the system.
When posting shifts, you can select the pay rate within your pre set range. Pay rates may vary depending on the specific role, site location or urgency.
If you would like to adjust your approved pay range, please contact your local GigWorx account manager and we will update your account accordingly.
Stipends:
Stipends can also be added to a shift. Clients often use stipends:
-
For event work in place of tips
-
As a gas stipend when travel time to your site is longer than average
-
To help incentivize hard-to-fill shifts
- To cover meals on longer gigs
If you've posted a shift with a stipend and are having difficulty filling it, we recommend increasing the hourly pay rate instead. In many cases, a higher hourly rate is more attractive to GigWorkers than a stipend. Raising the pay rate can improve fill speed and may ultimately support your overall staffing budget.
