How does the app work, and can I work a shift that isn't scheduled there?

Each shift in the app includes the pay rate, location, shift times, and dates. Once you accept a shift, you're officially committed and added to the client's schedule — the flexibility of choosing your own hours ends once you've made that commitment, since the client is counting on you to show up.

The app is the scheduling source of truth: you can't work a shift that isn't scheduled there. If a shift needs to be posted after hours, the client can post it themselves, or the GigWorx team can do it if requested before the scheduled start time. If you're not logged in the app for a shift, that work isn't sanctioned by GigWorx and won't be covered by our payroll or insurance.
